The MSA 80 battery-powered chainsaw is a robust and innovative addition to the AK System range of chainsaws. As the first AK System chainsaw equipped with a 14-inch guide bar, it boasts the highest power-to-weight ratio within the range. It is specifically designed for private use, including tasks such as cutting firewood, pruning branches, woodworking, and felling small trees up to 25 cm in diameter.
Powered by a high-performance brushless motor, its output is comparable to the MSA 160 battery-powered chainsaw from the AP System range and the MS 162 petrol-powered chainsaw. It offers 30% more power than the MSA 70 chainsaw, with only an additional weight of 200 g. The improved Ergo lever on the rear handle enhances comfort during operation and accommodates various cutting angles. The trigger system ensures maximum control over chain speed, enabling work on diverse materials, around shrubs, or on woodworking projects. A transparent chain oil tank provides better visibility, while the quick chain tensioner allows the sprocket cover to be removed and the chain tensioned without requiring additional tools.
The MSA 80 operates exclusively with the AK 30 S battery, offering a working time of 35 minutes when using recommended battery.
